TawkTo to SendGrid Integration Guide

 Prerequisites:

Before you begin, make sure:

• You have an active TawkTo account.
• You have a SendGrid account set up.
• You are logged into both platforms in your browser.

Step 1 Click to App Credentials

Step 2 Create a New Credential

Step 3 Configure App details

Add your App Name
Select SendGrid from Multiselect Dropdown

Step 4 Add Your Api Key and click on Verify then save it.

If you’ve already done that, continue below to create the space.

Step 5 Click on Add Space to create new space

Step 6 Select your Source app from Dropdown

• Choose Tawk.To

Step 7 Copy the Webhook URL generated for Tawk.To

Step 8 Steps to Verify Webhook in Tawk.to

• Log in to your Tawk.to account and go to the Dashboard.
• On the top of the dashboard, click the Settings (gear) icon

Step 9 A new page will open ,in the sidebar menu, click on Settings again.

Under Settings, click on Webhook.

Step 10 Click the "Create Webhook" button.

Paste your URL into the “Endpoint URL” field with a name

Note: Choose chat events like “chat-end” if you want to receive the visitor’s details along with their message.

Step 11 Click Save to complete the setup.

Step 12 Start Your demo chat session in twak.to ,fill the details respectively

Step 13 End this demo session Session

Step 14 Go back to the integration platform and click Verify Webhook, then click Continue

Step 15 Select the target app from your Dropdown

Choose SendGrid

Step 16 Choose the "Contacts" as SendGrid Model

 

Step 17 Select the SendGrid account you created earlier while setting up your app credentials

Step 18 Click on the "Save and Map Fields" button.

Step 19 Match your tawk to fields to SendGrid fields

• Example: Name → First Name, Email → Email Address

Step 20 Choose how you want to save your space

You will see two buttons: Save as Draft and Save and Activate.

• Click Save and Activate, your space will be saved and activated automatically.

• Click Save as Draft, This will save your space, but it won’t be active. You can activate it later by following the next steps.

Step 21 From the Action Column, click to Activate Your Space

Step 22 Start your chat session through Twak.to

Fill your demo user details accordingly

Step 23 End your chat session

Step 24 Log in to your SendGrid account and Check a new contact in your list

You can check your data synced in your Sendgrid account in Contacts list
