TawkTo to HubSpot Integration Guide

Just follow the steps in this guide, and your Tawk.to submissions will start showing up in HubSpot automatically.

 Prerequisites:

Before getting started, make sure:

• You have access to a TawkTo account.
• You have a HubSpot account (Free or paid CRM).
• You are logged in to both platforms in your browser.

Step 1 Click on App Credentials

Step 2 Create a New Credential

Step 3 Configure App details

• Add your App Name
  
• Select HubSpot from the Multiselect Dropdown

Step 4 Add your HubSpot Access Token and click Verify then save it.

If you’ve already done that, continue below to create the space.

Step 5 Click on Add Space to create a new space

Step 6 Select your Source App from the dropdown and copy webhook URL

• Choose TawkTo

Step 7 Steps to Verify Webhook in Tawk.to

• Log in to your Tawk.to account and go to the Dashboard.
• On the top of the dashboard, click the Settings (gear) icon.

Step 8 A new page will open ,in the sidebar menu, click on Settings again.

Under Settings, click on Webhook.

Step 9 Click the "Create Webhook" button.

Paste your URL into the “Endpoint URL” field with a name
Note: Choose chat events like “chat-end” if you want to receive the visitor’s details along with their message.

Step 10 Click Save to complete the setup.

Step 11 Start a Live Chat Session using your TawkTo widget

Enter demo user details like name and email

Step 12 End the chat session after submitting the form

Step 13 Go back to the integration space and click Verify Webhook, then proceed by clicking Continue

Step 14 Select your Target App from the dropdown

• Choose HubSpot

Step 15 Choose "Contact" as the model for HubSpot.

Step 16 Select the HubSpot account you created earlier while setting up your app credentials.

Step 17 Click on the "Save and Map Fields" button.

Step 18 Match the fields between TawkTo and HubSpot

Example: Name → Full Name, Email → Contact Email

Step 19 Choose how you want to save your space

You will see two buttons: Save as Draft and Save and Activate.

• Click Save and Activate, your space will be saved and activated automatically.

• Click Save as Draft, This will save your space, but it won’t be active. You can activate it later by following the next steps.

Step 20 From the Action Column, click to Activate Your Space

Step 21 Start a Tawk.To Chat Session again using your Tawk.To widget

Step 22 End the session to trigger the integration

Step 23 Log in to your HubSpot account , Go to CRM -> Contact List

You should see a new contact or record created with the chat info
