TawkTo to Odoo Integration Guide

With Syncspace, you can automatically send new messages or contact details from Tawk.to directly to your Odoo database—no coding or technical skills required. Your data flows automatically from one platform to the other.
Just follow the steps in this guide, and your Tawk.to submissions will start showing up in Odoo automatically.

 Prerequisites:

  • You have access to both a TawkTo account and an Odoo instance.
  • You are logged in to both platforms.
Step 1 Click on App Credentials
Step 2 Create a new Credential
Step 3 Configure app details
  • Add your App Name
  • Select Odoo from the Multiselect Dropdown
Step 4 Add Credentials of selected app Odoo
  • Add your Odoo URL
  • Add your Odoo Data Base Name
  • Add your Odoo User
  • Add your Odoo User PasswordNote: First Verify Then Save
Step 5 Create a new Space
Step 6 Select your Source App from the dropdown and copy webhook URL
  • Choose Tawk To
Step 7 Steps to Verify Webhook in Tawk.to
  • Log in to your Tawk.to account and go to the Dashboard.
  • On the top of the dashboard, click the Settings (gear) icon.
Step 8 A new page will open ,in the sidebar menu, click on Settings again.

Under Settings, click on Webhook.

Step 9 Click the "Create Webhook" button.

Paste your URL into the “Endpoint URL” field with a name

🔔 Note: Choose chat events like “chat-end” if you want to receive the visitor’s details along with their message.

Step 10 Click Save to complete the setup.
Step 11 Verify your webhook url
Step 12 Select your Target App from the dropdown
  • Choose Odoo
Step 13 Select the appropriate Odoo Model from your app credentials
  •  Example: Leads, Contacts, Job applicant
Step 14 Select the Odoo account you created earlier while setting up your app credentials.
Step 15 First Click on save and then Map Fields
Step 16 Match LiveChat fields to the correct Odoo fields
  • Example: Name → Full Name, Email → Email,
    Save the field mapping configuration later
Step 17 From the Action Column, click to Activate Your Space
Step 18 Start your chat session
Step 19 Log in to your Odoo account and go to your CRM module → Leads
  • You should see a new record created based on the chat session
